The next few weeks will focus on developing an understanding of what it takes to be good at math, and how we can work together to develop the skills that you'll need to be successful in my class this year. Homework 1. Please bring the last page of your syllabus, signed, on Monday. 2. Both you and your parent should take your time in sending me your introductory emails. You will not be getting a grade for this; the purpose of the email is for me to get to know you! I won't be looking for this until late next week. 3. (Continuation of today's work, which you will see more of next week) Start with the 2048 matrix shown to the right and show how to get to the matrix shown on the left. Reach your conclusion in as FEW steps as possible. If you need to understand how this game works, check out this online version of 2048. Directions: I want to see a clear, step-by-step explanation of how you arrived at your answer. This means that if you make a move (i.e. swipe up), I want to see what the resultant 2048 matrix looks like after that step. If you can't figure it out, bring in your work!
